I am Casey Jay Moore, owner of Eclectic Edge Entertainment, where we've gathered all my passions and hobbies under one vibrant umbrella. Each blogging and vlogging page has its own unique name, reflecting the diverse range of topics I love to explore. At MixMuse, I envision a world where all genres of music can band together. Here you can escape with me through music and hobbies. The purpose was always to rage against the machine. I am excited that you have dropped in and honored to be in your presence. Please, come. Sit. I still play all the classics while also keeping up with the latest music trends. I imagine that right now, you’re feeling a bit like Alice. Hmm? Tumbling down the rabbit hole?
I can see it in your eyes. You have the look of a person who accepts what he or she sees because one is expecting to wake up. Ironically, this is not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, friend? Why not? I know exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life—that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I’m talking about?
The grid is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see the Establishment when you look out your window or when you turn on the television. You can feel it when you go to work … when you go to church … when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth. That you are a slave, friend. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage. Born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind.
Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Grid is. You have to see it for yourself. And you have to hear it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this there is no turning back. You take the blue pill, the story ends; you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. Or, you take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the music rabbit hole goes. Remember, all I’m offering is the truth, nothing more.
Follow me. Enjoy my creative blogs as I stimulate your musical interest. Also join me this summer so I can blow your mind in more ways than one with the MixMuse podcast. So sit back, mellow out and take the red pill. Escape with me to an exhilarating musical paradise where no one has ever been before.
There is nothing more fun than sharing the long tradition of Rock-n-Roll. I'll bring you back to where it all began. I'll give you the inside story about all the legendary bands and their music. I might even shock you with some R&B and a taste for rap music.
The sounds of great music comes from my vast knowledge of the best song selections.
When listening to music I let my imagination run wild. I enjoy music interpretation. For every song written there is a story behind the lyrics.
I enjoy fiction writing along with screenwriting. The sound of music helps me frame the emotions needed for a scene or a character.
I'll give you my opinions as to who's the best. Vote for who you think is the best band of all time. Vote for bands against one another in a Death Match. Vote for best song. Vote for best album. Vote for best musician. Vote for best music soundtrack. Take a music poll and see the results. We enjoy your comments and feedback. Here you have a voice, so use it.
I'll give you my spin on musical instruments. Most creative musicians have a continuing need to grow by playing other instruments. If you want to make a great album then you need to branch out to more appealing sounds. I've got you covered.
A place where dreams come true
Where many hit songs were written
The musical joint is for exclusive members only. Where we serve the best food and drinks in the country. Elite musicians throughout the world perform here.
I never agreed with the so called corporate experts or the political hacks when it came to the billboard charts. So now I will rank them to their rightful place.
When I was younger it seemed like every weekend I was going to concerts to see my heroes. I supported them by purchasing t-shirts and their music. I will share all my concert experiences and look forward to hearing yours as well. Over time I got tired of over-priced corporate garbage that they deemed a live concert. Many bands betrayed the guys (The Consumers) with their excess, addictions, late arrivals and diminishing musicianship skills. Many became old, fat & lazy while the true rock bands played on to eternity.
In my past musical ventures I have always tried to help the struggling musicians. Today's world is a lot different than it was back then. But one fact remains; there's a lot of talented people out there who just need a break or an opportunity.
Singer-Songwriter contests allow for this opportunity. And now with the monster advantages of AI tools the sky is the limit for just about anyone.
So keep an eye open for the opportunities that we present you. We're all in your corner. Streaming is the way of the world now.
To me there's nothing more fun than going to your local restaurant or bar for the chance to mingle with other musicians and to perform on stage.
For anyone who sends us a video of your open mic night, we will post the video here and give you an honest critique. If you can't take someone's opinion then you're in the wrong business.
With any luck maybe we can have you on the MixMuse Podcast Show where we can interview you and have you perform a couple of live songs as well. Streaming makes all things possible.
When it comes to rating the best music, songs, albums, bands, concerts and musicianship among other things; me and my friends couldn't agree on anything. There was always a loyal tribalism that went on. And the heated debates were many. But over the years we became more open minded with our ratings.
You can't trust a corporate entity because they usually have skin in the game for their own tribe. These days the system is rigged against you.
Here we give it to you straight. Purity unvarnished is backed by facts. The reality of bought & paid opinions don't matter to us. That's why we don't advertise on this site. We hate commercials. We loathe clickbait. We refuse sponsorship of any kind. We refuse to sell out the fans regardless of the gimmicky offers.
Honest opinions matter! Our reviews of your products will always be under a fair & balanced platform.
Until a sponsor can put their money where their mouth is with high end product lines, recording time, service and/or cash prizes without strings attached that we can offer you (the band or solo performer) through a raffle, contest or performance at our establishments, it will always be a no go for us. We can use our own money without strings attached, lol.
Speaking of albums and the past: I remember buying my first 45 record without ever hearing it when I was in 1st grade. It was the first time I was in a record store and I knew I had to buy something. In my lottery of choices back then I picked the little record by the title. I should mention a 45 back then was all I could afford on my allowance. It was called "The Lion Sleeps Tonight' by the Tokens. I know, shoot me now. But as I got older I loved 45's because I had this quirk of needing to hear the flipside of the record. Little did anyone know that it went on to become not just a #1 song in 1961, but one of the most covered, most successful pop songs of all time.
The following year I found myself in the same depressing situation only this time it turned out to be "American Pie" by singer and songwriter Don McLean. To this day I can't listen to that depression, lol.
When I was 10 years old living in the swamps of Brooksville, Florida I was finally removed from being a slave of the radio airwaves and their corporate music choices.
This time I had a larger bank roll. I rushed into the music store and this time I knew what I wanted. So my hands quickly latched onto my favorite heroes full vinyl record album. It was the summer of 1976. Yes, I was late to the party since this record was released in the fall of 1975. Can you guess what album it was?
I will delay my answer because I could afford another album. And on this vinyl it had a song that gave me shivers down my spine every time I would hear it on the radio.
So I bought the 2 albums and was tickled pink! I couldn't wait to fire up the record player. I was meticulous in how I handled all my records. To my surprise on the first album it wasn't 1 record it was a 2-record set. I was jumping up and down with excitement. The first vinyl album I ever bought was "Kiss Alive". What a fucking record it was! Years later I would skin out for 'Kiss Alive 2" and that also lived up to the hype.
As for my 2nd album I purchased on that ungodly muggy summer day, it turned out to be none other than "Elton John's Greatest Hits" (1974). Let me tell you, I wore that fucking record out. Let me know what your first 45 & vinyl album choice turned out to be.
I might be in the minority but I enjoy riffs more than solos. I will open up your mind to some of the best rhythm guitar players who have a niche for creating amazing guitar riffs.
We will take a deep dive into the many iconic lead guitar wizards. All of them have a very distinct solo and as soon as you hear it ripping through the airwaves you know exactly who it is. The heated debates will always rage on. But I might surprise you with some rock legends that don't get the notoriety that others do. And I would argue they might just be the better lead guitarist.
